Pre-Authorized Payments (PAP)
TO QUALIFY, ALL ACCOUNTS MUST BE PAID IN FULL
• Once you have enrolled in this program, you will automatically remain in the program until you choose to withdraw in writing.
• You may change your bank information or cancel your participation in the plan from the account listing page. Notification must be 15 days prior to the next payment due date. If you are cancelling the plan, you must immediately pay the outstanding balance in full, to avoid interest charges.
• If any pre-authorized payment does not clear through your bank account, the Town will charge the applicable administration fee as stated on the Fees & Charges By-law. You will be automatically removed from the pre-authorized payment plan after two (2) NSF’s.
• Supplementary tax bills be included in the pre-authorized payment plan.
Property Taxes: The Town offers 10-month, Instalment and Arrears/Supplementary Pre-Authorized Payment Plans. Please enroll through your account listing page, or click here for the application. For the Arrears/Supplementary Plans only, please contact the Tax Department for enrollment.
Water Billing: The Town offers Instalment Pre-authorized Payment Plan which are withdrawn on the quarterly water billing due dates. Please enroll through your account listing page, or click here for the application.
Please search your online banking provider for Whitchurch-Stouffville Property Taxes or Water Billing as a payee.
Credit Card Payment via PayIT
Credit card payments are not accepted directly by the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, however, property taxes and Water bills can
be paid online by credit card using PayIT, our third-party online bill payment service provider.
The Third-party service provider will charge convenience fees for this service and provide restrictions on which types of accepted
credit cards may apply. Currently, only Visa and American Express cards are accepted.
The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville receives only the amount you have input, not any additional fees added by third-party services. Payments made through a third-party provider can take 3-5 business days to be received and then processed by the Town. The Town must receive all payments in the office by 4:30. on the specified due date to avoid penalties and interest charges.
